A 10 years old Master H.C (Patient Identification Number – 2257) visited our Chandigarh clinic on 20th March 2018 accompanied by his mother. He was suffering from Atopic Dermatitis since past 4 years and it was increasingly spreading on his body since 2 months.
His upper and lower extremities were afflicted. Recently his back had started developing lesions. He had severe uncontrollable itching sensation along with dryness of skin.
He was studying in 3th Std. His father was a businessman (Event management company) and mother was a housewife. His elder brother was studying in 9th Std.
Our doctors prescribed him medication after studying his case in detail.
He visited for his first follow up on 24th April 2018. His complaints of itching and dryness had improved up to 60%.
There were no new lesions.
He revisited our clinic on 21st July 2018. He had come after 3 months as he started getting worse since 1 month as he had discontinued our medications as his symptoms were better.
It was explained to the patient’s parents that in cases atopic dermatitis it is advisable to take treatment regularly to avoid relapses and to achieve complete recovery.
Patient’s father reported on 15th October 2018 with marked improvement. There was no itching and the lesions on upper and lower extremities and back were better.
