Sreenik Das, a patient of Cerebral Palsy visited our clinic on 1st October 2014 with his father by the reference of a regular patient. The child was 2 years old when he visited the clinic for the first time. He was a lean but an active child.
When they entered the clinic, Sreenik was being carried by his father in his arms. His father came with a great hope of recovery of his child as he was not offered much help at other schools of medicine.
As per the previous diagnosis, his father told that the child was suffering from spastic dystonic quadriplegic, i.e. Cerebral Palsy.
Sreenik’s father started narrating the symptoms which included all the visible symptoms that the child couldn’t hold his neck properly, could not walk. When they tried to make him walk or even stand on his feet, due to underdevelopment and spasticity of the muscles, he was unable to do so. Sreenik was 2 years old but neither could speak a word nor could understand anything and had lower IQ as compared to a 2-year-old who usually can respond well to different gestures and commands.
As we asked about the previous treatment history, his father told that he was consulting and taking treatment from a physiotherapist and also giving him speech therapy but was not getting satisfactory results.
On close examination of the child, we noticed drooling of saliva from the mouth and there was no response to smile. Overall it was a case of delayed global development.
After complete case taking was done along with a reference to the medical reports, we reached to a suitable remedy.
Proper follow ups were taken and 4 months after prescribing the medicine, the child started to hold his neck and started to respond to smile with a smile. A few months later the spasticity (stiffness) of the muscles reduced and he started to walk with support. After a few months, he was able to speak monosyllables.
Now 2 years after undergoing treatment, he has better IQ and understands basic things like yes and no. When we told him to clap, he followed the command. He can now easily convey his ideas, for example informing about stool, urine, pain etc.
This case proves that how Homeopathy can work wonders in treating genetic disorders, where other schools of medicine fail.
