Do you have frequent eye allergies? What type of infections these are? How to manage them? These are few questions arises in our mind when we have a reoccurrence of eye infections. The stye is a most common eye infection, which everyone experienced in life, it is very discomfort or irritable eye disease. It occurs at eyelid where eyelash follicle or a gland clogged with oil or dirt. It has a small red pimple with a white head of pus that burst or drains eventually.

What to do when we have a Stye:


Stress may be considered as an underlying cause of developing Stye. It is important to manage stress or to relax our mind and body as stye can get worsened with stress.

Are you in habit of cleaning your eye? eyelash follicle or a gland becomes clogged with oil or dirt and causes stye. It is needed to clean or wash face, eyelids properly to avoid clogging.


Wash eyelids properly on a daily basis if it causes itching. It will reduce the chances of Blepharitis, which in results helps to avoid Stye.


Apply a warm compress or cloth soaked in warm water to eyes just before the sleep for 5 to 10 minutes. Give heat to eye in a moderate way as to avoid any injury or burn over the eye.

What not to do in case of Stye:
Stye has white-headed pustules which are filled up with pus, try not to squeeze that as it may cause increase the infection.


Stye causes severe itching on the eye but it is the best possible way to manage the stye by stop rubbing it or touching it much.


Avoid makeup and contact lenses. Wait for the period until the eye area gets healed up unless putting makeup or contact lenses may worsen the stye.
