Nux vomica :Head remedy for bleeding or non-bleeding piles to be given when there is burning pain and constipation with ineffectual desire. Alternate constipation with diarrhea. Contant uneasiness in the rectum. Constipation with ineffectual urging, incomplete and unsatisfactory, feeling as if a part remained unexcelled.
Collinsonia canadensis :Sensation of sharp sticks in the rectum. Sense of constriction. Vascular engorgement of the rectum. Dery feces. Very obstinate constipation with protruding hemorrhoids. Aching in the anus and hypogastrium. Dysentery with tenesmus. Alternate constipation and diarrhea and great flatulence.
Nitric Acid :Hemorrhoids that have ceased to bleed, but are very painful and hanging down loosely with sharp pricking pains in rectum. Great straining, but little passes. Rectum feels torn. Tearing pains during stools. Violent cutting pains after stools, lasting for hours. Hemorrhage from the bowels, profuse, bright. Hemorrhoids bleeds easily. After passing stools irritable and exhausted.
Hamamelis :Painless bleeding followed by prostration which out of all proportion to the loss of blood. The blood is of dark color. There is anemia, breathlessness and weakness notwithstanding good appetite. Anus feels sore and raw. Hemorrhoids, bleeding profusely with soreness. Pulsation in the rectum.
Alumina :Piles worse in the evening and better after night’s rest; clots of blood escapes from the anus; Feeces hard and knotty like sheep’s dung with cutting in anus followed by blood.
