How do I find a good homoeopath?

One of the most common questions is, “How do I find a good homeopath?” Choosing the right homeopath is something that should be done thoughtfully to ensure that you find the right homeopath for you and your family, just as you would with any other type of health practitioner.

Globally, homeopathy is regarded as a “low risk” system of medicine. In a perverse way, this low risk-status has worked against it because now a days few people currently call themselves an expert in prescribing homeopathy medicines without qualified as homeopathy doctor.

A ‘Homeopath’ is a qualified medical practitioner by studying full-length course; and is legally certified to practice homeopathic medicine, as per law in respective countries.

It is important that the qualified homeopath should have studied in detail the following subjects in full length are as follows:-

-Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Internal medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Preventive and Social Medicine ,Medico-Legal Medicine,Pediatrics, Psychiatry, ENT, Dermatology,Homeopathic,Philosophy-Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia (Materia Medica),Homeopathic Pharmacy,Clinical Medicine,Hospital training , In all different fields of medicine, surgery, Gynecology, ENT, Skin, Psychiatry, etc.) over the course of 4 and half years.

– Internship ((Minimum 1 year)

For M.D courses 3 years additional qualification in respective specialties.

It is very important the homeopath has had the knowledge to investigate (such as blood work, ECG, X-ray, CT scan, MRI, EEG, etc.) and apply in practice for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Medical certification to qualify as a registered homeopath varies everywhere. Homeopathy course has to be a full- time course of 5 and a half years. It cannot be a short term course with a background in commerce or arts subjects. Very few countries like India, UK, etc. have ‘medical homeopaths’ while in some countries there are also ‘lay-homeopaths’ who read a couple of books or attend short term courses and consider themselves to be Homeopaths.

Your Homeopathic physician should be able to retrieve your case details in future for at least 10 years and should keep your case confidential.
