I would like to share my experience on a case of foot drop, which visited me in 2015.
The lady came to me by the reference of my patient. She told me regarding her son Avraj Singh Padda 2 years old from the interiors of Punjab, Kapurthala suffering from foot drop.
While taking history his mother told me that few months back he had an episode of severe vomiting. For that he was given injection on gluteal region, which caused infectious neuritis and resulted in foot drop.
She went to an orthopedician who referred him to a neurologist. After undergoing complete investigations including EMG she came to know that her son was suffering from foot drop. The nerve conduction test showed left sciatic nerve and peroneal nerve involvement causing denervation resulting in foot drop.
She started treatment from that doctor but didn’t get any results. She kept on shifting doctors and was taking physiotherapy with the hope of improvement but all went in vain. Even she tried homeopathic treatment in her city but with no avail.
Then, she visited PGI, where she was informed by them “there is no treatment in case of foot drop”. Only physiotherapy could help, which she was continuing from last many months but offered no benefits. She became despair of her son’s recovery.
So, she came to our clinic. After complete case taking me and my team started with his treatment.
Initially, the improvement was slow but gradually improvement started picking up. EMG was done after 45 days which showed improvement of 30 % and calf area of the child started developing.
After around 2 months she brought him to my clinic, I checked him thoroughly. The child started walking initially with limping and then gradually he started walking normally.
Now, whenever he visits me walking normally without limping or dragging, it brings a great smile to my face. After this case, I became much confident to handle cases of foot drop.
Homeopathy works wonders in cases where other modes of treatment give no hope.
