What is Widal test?
The Widal test is done to diagnose enteric fever also known as typhoid fever.
When widal test is positive?
The Widal test is positive, if TO antigen titer or TH antigen is more than 1:160 in an active infection.
What is a Widal test done for?
Widal test was based on the presence of agglutinin (antibody) in the serum of an infected patient, against the H (flagellar) and O (somatic) antigens of Salmonella Typhi and it is done to diagnose typhoid fever.
What are the symptoms of typhoid?

How Widal test is done?
A blood sample was taken from the vein and send to the laboratory to analyze the presence of agglutinins.
