What is the normal range of Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)?

The units of measurement of Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) are international units per litre (IU/L)

The normal range is 44 – 147 IU/L

  • Hepatitis
  • Mononucleosis – viral infection caused by Epstein–Barr virus

If the ALP levels are high but all other liver parameters are normal, there might be some bone disorders like osteomalacia.

  • Zinc deficiency
  • Magnesium deficiency
  • Malnutrition
  • Thyroid disease
