What is the CSF protein test?
Cerbero spinal fluid contains little amount of protein i.e. albumin. Proteins in CSF are usually large molecules which can not pass the brain barrier. CSF protein test involves taking a fluid sample from the spinal column using a needle this process is called a lumbar puncture or spinal tap.
