Foods that will naturally cleanse your liver

The liver is one of the most important organs of the body. Its most important function involves breaking down and disposing of toxic substances. The released toxins is not expelled properly due to inefficiency of the liver which is simply reabsorbed. There are certain vegetables which contain ingredients help the liver to secrete greater concentrations of important enzymes.

The liver is one of vital organs which play an important role in the biochemical processes and help in sustaining life. It produce bile which is vital to digestion, produce plasma proteins, stores iron, regulate the clotting of blood , synthesizes cholesterol , store glucose as glycogen , regulates the level of amino acid in blood ,remove toxins from the body and produces immune factors that help to prevent infections. 1) Turmeric (Haldi) – It is an important herb that improves liver health. The anti viral action of turmeric is effective in preventing the multiplication of the virus causing hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

2) Vegetables – Vegetables contain ingredients which help the liver to secrete the greater concentrations of enzymes .Beet , cabbage ,carrot ,broccoli ,onion and garlic are the important vegetables Broccoli ,onion and garlic provide sulfur to the body which help in the detoxification reaction in the liver which help to prevent damage to the liver.

3) Gooseberry (Amla) – It is one of the richest source of vitamin C. It is helpful in the treatment of sluggish liver. It helps to boost immune system, digestive and liver protective action.

4) Licorice (Mulhati) – It has beneficial effects on the liver. The use of licorice extract leads to reduced concentrations of the enzymes. It helps to cure the liver ailments.
