A 37-year-old male Mr. G. S from Sangrur, India (Patient Identification number- 22478) visited our Chandigarh Clinic on 3rd January 2018. He had suffered a life-threatening head injury two month back after which his eyesight had become blurred and was progressively deteriorating. He was suffering from Post-Concussion Optic neuropathy. He had swelling over his left eye. He was taking corticosteroid tablets but there was not much relief in his complaints. As he was having so much of corticosteroids his existing Diabetes mellitus had worsened and had started affecting his kidneys which were shutting due to high creatinine level.

He was worried as his job was dependant on his eye sight, he was a clerk in government sector and his job was doing documentation which was not possible without his clear eyesight.

Mr. G.S was given medication after considering all his complaints carefully and was asked to follow up regularly.

Patient visited the clinic again on 12th January 2018 as his CT scan showed his macular haemorrhage worsening, his pupillary action had also slowed down. His medication had to be increased considering his condition.

He reported on 29th January 2018 that his eye’s swelling had started reducing. His condition had stopped deteriorating further.

He came for follow up on 7th March 2018 and reported considerable improvement. His swelling had reduced but still his eyesight was not restored.

Patient continued the medication for 3 more months as per our advice with regular monthly follow ups.

He reported on 26th June 2018 and reported his eyesight had also improved up to 80%. He had started seeing things clearly, he able to read as well. He was advised to avoid straining his eyes. He is continuing medication for complete recovery.
