Every day we lose around 50-100 strands of our hair and these strands will be replaced by new ones.
85% of our hair will increase its length and the remaining will stay in a relaxing stage. There is nothing to worry about losing few hair strands, and in case if there is a severe hair loss then there is a chance of getting baldness. Women are more prone to hair loss as compared to men.
Natural Tips to prevent Hair Loss:
1. Hot Oil Massage
Heat some oil (preferably coconut oil or almond oil) and slowly massage your scalp with that oil using your fingertips. It increases blood flow to the hair follicles which enhances the strength of the roots of your hair and conditions your scalp.
2. Onion Juice
Due to higher sulphur content in onion, onion juice helps in treating hair loss and enhance the circulation of blood to the hair follicles therefore revive hair follicles and reduce inflammation. The presence of anti-bacterial properties in onion juice also helps kill the germs that cause scalp infection which may lead to hair loss.
3. Beetroot Juice
Beetroot helps you to complete your nutritional deficiency that causes hair fall. Beet roots are rich in calcium, iron, manganese, potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C. So include it in your diet and fight this evil problem of hairfall.
4. Green Tea
Green tea revitalizes hair follicles and stimulates hair production. It enhances your metabolism which leads to increased rate of hair growth. Conditioning your hairs with green tea solution and notice the change.
Green tea is rich in antioxidants, which help boost hair growth and prevent hair loss. Soak two-three teabags in one-two cups of hot water depending on the length of your hair. When it cools, pour this over your scalp and hair, while gently massaging your head. Rinse with cool water after an hour.
5. Indian Gooseberry (Amla)
One of the major reasons for hair loss is the deficiency of Vitamin C and Amla being a rich source of vitamin C. It is rich in antioxidants and antibacterial properties that prevent dandruff and scalp inflammation. Therefore “Amla” keeps the scalp clean and provides the required nutrition to the hair roots making them stronger and shinier.
6. Natural Hair Mask
Hair masks are a mix of various ingredients which are good for hairs. But it should contain natural ingredients. Make hair masks at home using natural ingredients.
-Make a honey olive oil hair pack for healthy and strong hair. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey and same amount of olive oil in a small bowl. To this, add a pinch of cinnamon powder. Mix it into a smooth paste and apply on to your hairs.
-Take banana, coconut oil, olive oil and honey and blend them to form a smooth paste, than apply this paste on your scalp. Wash your hairs after 30 minutes. This helps in controlling hair loss to a great extent.
-Another hair pack that would benefit the health of your hair is by applying avocado hair pack. Take 2-3 avocado fruits and peel them off. After taking out the seeds, put them in a bowl. Add a few drops of coconut oil in it and apply this pack on your hair. Avocado is a super food which is rich in various nutrients such as vitamins K, C, B5, B6, E, potassium and folate with a small quantity of magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin), copper, iron, zinc, protein. Because of this, avocados are extremely beneficial for healthy hair.
7. Neem Leaves
“Neem” is well known for its medicinal properties . it is an effective herb to treat hair loss. Neem is an excellent way to curb dandruff due to its antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps the hair follicles to become stronger and also encourages hair growth.
You can also try “ neem pack”. Grind and boil neem leaves to a paste and apply it to your scalp after shampooing your hair. Wash it off after 30 minutes. Repeat the process twice in a week and notice the change.
8. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera contains enzymes that directly promote healthy hair growth. Applying Aloe vera juice or gel on your scalp can induce healthy hair growth.
Aloe vera removes the dead cells from your scalp that can clog the roots in your hair. It has antimicrobial and ant-inflammatory properties that fight against the bacteria and keep the scalp cool. Aloe Vera also helps in restoring scalp’s pH balance, which promotes the hair growth.
9. Egg White and Curd Paste
Egg white and curd are known to be preventers of hair loss. Eggs are a rich source of Sulphur and proteins which is an essential nutrient for healthy and strong hair. Sulphur in eggs promotes the production of keratin and collagen that prevents dandruff.
10. Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek or Methi seeds is one of the most effective home remedies to stop the hair loss. It repairs the hair follicles and helps in re-growth of the hair.
-Soak the fenugreek seeds overnight in water. Grind it to a fine paste and apply it to your hair and scalp. Leave the paste on your head for about 30 minutes. After 30 to 40 minutes, rinse it with normal water. Do it twice a week for a month for control hair fall.
11. Yoghurt and Honey
Mix 2 tablespoons of yoghurt with 1 tablespoon of honey and lemon in a bowl, apply this paste on the scalp and roots. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Apply this paste once a week.
